Feature Description
Picture in Picture (PIP) is a function that allows you to display the reduced application screen of 17LIVE (hereinafter referred to as “the PIP Screen”) on the home screen of your mobile device or other applications.
You can continue to enjoy 17LIVE live streaming while using other applications.
[Android] How to Use PIP
If you press the home button on your Android device while watching the live streaming, the size of the live streaming screen will be reduced and displayed at the bottom right of the device screen.
※Before using PIP, please turn on "Picture in Picture" in the application settings of the device in advance (the place for the application settings may differ depending on the device you are using)
▼ You can change the location of the screen to be displayed by holding down the PIP screen and moving around or dragging it to wherever you like.
▼ Tap the PIP screen to display the following operation buttons.
① Gear icon: You can move to the PIP setting screen of your device.
② "X" button: Exits the PIP screen and switches to audio-only background playback. To end the audio, you need to return to the application and leave the streaming room.
③ Window icon: The application opens and you can return to the streaming room.
[IOS] How to Use PIP
If you return to the home screen while watching the live streaming, the streaming room will be displayed as a PIP screen.
※Before using PIP, set it to start automatically by clicking "Settings> General> Picture in Picture> Set “Start Automatically" ON on your device.
※If you are using a model equipped with a home button, pressing the home button will display the streaming room as a PIP screen.
You can change the display location of the screen by holding down the PIP screen and moving around and dragging it to wherever you like.
※It can be placed in 4 locations: upper right, lower right, upper left, and lower left.
※You can change the size of the display by tapping the PIP screen twice.
You can hide it off the screen by swiping the PIP screen to the right or left edge of the screen on the device.
Tap the PIP screen to display the following operation buttons.
① "X" button: Exits the PIP screen and switches to audio-only background playback. To end the audio, you need to return to the application and leave the streaming room.
② Window icon: The application opens and you can return to the streaming room.
When you tap X button as described above, a notification will be displayed at the top of the screen as shown below.
※If you do not receive the notification, please check if the notification is permitted, by clicking "Settings> Notification> Notification Style> 17LIVE" on your device.
FAQ
Q. What happens when the live streaming you are watching on the PIP screen ends?
A. When the live streaming you are watching on the PIP screen ends, it will automatically switch to the next live streaming, just like it does in the application.
Q. Does the PIP screen also support Group Calls?
A. You can also switch to the PIP screen for Group Call streamings.
Q. Does the PIP screen also support VS?
A. You can switch to the PIP screen even in VS mode.
Q. Can I see it on the PIP screen even if it is streamed from OBS?
A. You can switch to the PIP screen even if the live streaming you are watching is streamed from OBS.
※Please note that switching of the PIP screen on the confirmation device is not supported if the streamer is streaming from OBS.
Q. Is it possible to display the PIP screen even during streaming?
A. This PIP feature applies only to the viewer screen. Therefore, when you are streaming as a streamer, the screen will stay the same size as normal.
Q. I don't see comments, tickers, or event stickers on the PIP screen
A. On the PIP screen, only the live video of the streamer is displayed, and the comments, tickers, event stickers, etc. that are normally displayed on the screen are hidden.
